Amman man’s favourite
When it comes to RL polo logos, size seems to suddenly matter. A lot.
Issue: Oct, 2009
The world of Amman fashion seems to have injected Ralph Lauren’s famous polo horse – or pony, as they’re called in the sport – with a whopping dose of steroids. This summer has seen four-legged beasts of frightening proportions gallop across the chests of young men as they seek to impress strange girls outside Paul in City Mall.
Well, Jordan’s sports-casual enthusiasts will no doubt be extremely pleased by the latest limited edition RL Polo shirts, released to celebrate the firm’s multi-million-dollar sponsorship of the 2009 US Open, which concluded to stunning effect in the middle of last month. Manufactured in a mesh-knit fabric, they were also the shirts worn by the ballboys as they retrieved an increasing number of Federer’s serves from the base of the net.
