Cheers to the cold
December is the time of serious drinks
Issue: Dec, 2009
“Certain drinks have come to define winter itself,” says Suleiman Shaddad, assistant marketing manager at Yousef M Haddad, importers of some of the greatest alcohols you can find in Jordan. “An Irish coffee practically means Christmas, and you can’t go through the cold season without drinking at least one cup of spiced rum.”
Thankfully, the company has made sure that it brings us the best in bottled spirits, so it’s a simple matter of getting together the ingredients for your own glass of pure liquid sunshine to relieve your winter-chilled innards. “I’d definitely recommend Baileys for when the weather has you down, or even pure vodka. Millions and millions of Russians can’t be wrong, can they?”
Certainly not. Still, we’re very willing to test this theory out on a good bottle of Smirnoff... “And you know you’ll be getting the authentic thing from us now that we’ve introduced the Holosleeves onto a range of our products – we can’t stand counterfeits!” Suleiman says, making those of us who buy our DVDs from Hammoudeh hang our heads in shame. This doesn’t affect our free sample, does it?
