Finally, solar power has reached a level of functionality we can actually bother to tap into. The ReNu Solar Panel, set for release early this year, is a remarkable new gadget that uses solar energy to power iPod docks and desk lamps. With only nine hours of direct sunlight required for a full charge, the ReNu can power 7-8 hours of music on the audio dock, or more than two full charges for an iPhone on the standard dock.
