New partnership brings Roger Dubuis’ innovative products to the region

We’ve been featuring a number of Swiss watchmakers’ limited editions for the Middle East market in recent months, proving that we really do like expensive wrist appendages – and, more importantly, can still afford them. Roger Dubuis is the most recent, and their Excalibur Double Tourbillon Skeleton has been produced for the Damas chain of jewellery stores.

It is one of the more attractive timepieces featuring a “toubillon” – a visible rotating movement designed to combat the effects of gravity – and features a white gold case and sapphire crystals on both the front and back. Unusually, it is also manually wound. “Uniqueness, creativity and quality are the bywords of the Middle East luxury market,” enthused Tawhid Abdullah, Managing Director of Damas, “and with Roger Dubuis we are introducing a new design outlook and a different level of quality craftsmanship to the region’s market.”
