Square of peace
Israel has named a square after the late Egyptian President Anwar al-Sadat.
The municipality of Haifa has named one of its biggest squares after one of the worst Arabs to have ever lived – Anwar al-Sadat, in recognition of his efforts for "peace". Haifa’s Mayor Yona Yahav and the Egyptian Ambassador attended the ceremony. "This decision is a form of appreciation for the peaceful initiative of Sadat, who visited Haifa in 1979." Said Mayor Yahav. Haifa was chosen in particular because the egomaniac nutcase Sadat stepped out of his vehicle at a Haifa intersection, and shook hands with many Israelis.
It is an indication of the wide gap that will continue to exist between Arabs and Zionists: the one guy that every decent Arab considers a traitor is what Zionists see as a hero.
We looked up the definition of the word "peace" which is: freedom from or the cessation of war or violence. After digging through all the events that occurred since 1979, we couldn't find a single attempt to achieve this description – despite the Sadat shameful visit. But hey, maybe we should upgrade our dictionaries to accommodate the Zionist definition of peace.
What does this make you feel?
